Edgy, satirical editorial cartoonist Ted Rall has been dropped by WashingtonPost.com after a post-election piece depicted the American electorate as a drooling idiot.

WashingtonPost.com Executive Editor Doug Feaver told Editor & Publisher: "Ted Rall does very interesting work. Some of it is not funny to an awful lot of people. We decided at the end of the day that it just did not fit the tone we wanted at WashingtonPost.com."

Vanilla, in other words, is still the most popular flavor.
